JEE Advanced

JEE Advanced is the entrance exam for the IITs, taken by the top JEE Main candidates. It has two compulsory papers of 3 hours each, and both papers test Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Questions come in several formats: single correct option, one or more correct options (with partial marks), numerical value, matching lists and paragraph-based sets. The number of questions and the marks change from year to year, so check the official information brochure on jeeadv.ac.in for your exam year.

The exam: Paper 1 and Paper 2

Both papers are compulsory and last 3 hours each. Each paper has a Physics, a Chemistry and a Mathematics section, and each section is split into parts by question format. Your score is the total of both papers. The number of questions and the marks for each part change from year to year; the official information brochure on jeeadv.ac.in has the pattern for your exam year.

The JEE Advanced plan

How does marking work for questions with more than one correct option?
